England’s youth squad will mature in a few years

England appeared too tough for Iceland in the Group 2 duel phase of the UEFA Nations League A, Thursday (19/11/2020) early morning WIB. The Three Lion won with a score of 4-0.

All four England goals this time were scored by their young players. There’s Declan Rice, Mason Mount and Phil Foden’s goal pair.

This is what makes Gareth Southgate as coach look to the future. He believes the England squad is currently being discussed to be one of the best in the next few years.

The young English players are potential, but Southgate is not in a hurry. At this point their game is immature, the young players may have to be patient a little longer.

“I think we are very aware of the many young players who we think will perform extraordinary for England in the next few years,” Southgate was quoted as saying by Sportsmole.

“It’s good for the public to see the footage [of the potential young England squad] and they are backed by some great professionals, plus amazing senior players.”

“Especially in the last few months,” he added
